Microsoft SurroundWeb, fill your room of screens

Microsoft Research presents other project which continues the line of Illumiroom, although it presents other perspective, the filling the room with diverse screens in which appears different information, music, photos or all what you want to project to.

As I tell you in other post, Microsoft Research is a division which is in charged of investigating or going step by step from we have normally, and this case is not other if not a technologic marvel which in the case it gets to be real, it would open door to new experiences.

In this case, SurroundWeb wants to transmit us a sensation of immersion, in a way to the seemed with Illumiroom, projecting in the walls and roof secondary screens to your main screen, it means, you are with your Xbox One or your pc working and in the place of opening twenty screens to work diverse documents or files you could have till 25 screens at your side, yes 25 screens, you´ve read well, so that Microsoft has achieved to move SurroundWeb with 25 screens at 720 p and a rate of 30 fps.

Defined by its authors like “a web navigator in 3D”, this project promises revolutionizing the way of conceiving and using the information, although at the moment only it leaves us some images and a document to make us a idea.

I think it is a fascinating technology, but it will take even see commercially, but certainly, I hope the project goes ahead and get out to consumers, even though you have much time to look at the market. As I have said several times Microsoft Research always try viewing the future, and I think your research is just the tip of the iceberg, of which various ideas and then depart to take them to consumer products.
