The success of Window Phone: Nokia and its low and medium range.

We know that Window Phone came a little late in a market in which consumers IOS and Android were distributed, but is slowly getting to adapt to an audience that is giving him little by little share.

Everyone knows that only Apple focuses on the high-end of the market of mobile phones, with prices that are above €600, although they have a great backup media and consumerist given the high quality of their phones.

The android system has different brands that are committed to different ranges to try to attract the largest number of consumers possible, though with little information that we handle, we will give account are in an unstable system with a multitude of failures, especially in the middle and low range, which its manufacturers, neglected but nonetheless may have gotten that Samsung more than mobile sold to Apple.

Windows phone is a system that has a main company that backs it, Nokia, which carries most of the entire market of mobile phones with Windows Phones being sold, what is his secret?  Why that growth ?

First we will talk about that Window Phone is available in all ranges, but it has certain advantages over the competition, is capable of running your OS very fluid and properly resourced, i.e. the low range of Window Phone far exceeds downward and media which can offer us Android, as well as being without many problems that fall into Android.


Nokia offers its biggest hit, the 520 Lumia, from €120, a terminal range low with the reliability that Nokia and the fluidity of the operating system that uses. Consumers are aware of the current crisis, and hence that the low range is a great choice for consumers and neglected by the manufacturers, but that happened since came Lumia, without a doubt, Microsoft has created a great operating system that used successfully in economics terminals which were previously unhappy users. And hence that now present a rate of annual growth of its rivals, which although still in numbers and market share they exceed widely see as they are gradually coming to a greater public which is happy with the product they buy.

Now focusing a bit in which brands sell mobile Windows phone to see how Nokia gets practically everything, with more than 75 % of the fee with this system, no doubt were the first  bet and more mobile distributed, especially the Lumia 520 with a 25% share of which we have just appointed. We also see and lately are arriving multitude of apps in the Store, some fundamental and others such as games that are coming at the same time as to Android and IOS, undoubtedly the developers know that this consolidated a base of users with this system.


Personally I think low-end mobile market can be very hard and with small margins, but certainly today is the majority, thus who bet strong by this market, will begin to reap their benefits soon. With Windows Phone, I hope that even though they continue to create high-end terminals, focus mainly on products of medium and low quality, which can be transmitted in increasingly sales and market share.

Hopefully the data follow accompanying in the future and will go to consolidate this great platform that still has things to say.
